As the exploration enthusiasm in Southeast Asian waters continues to rise, a new contract from the Gulf of Thailand has once again put Malaysian drilling service provider Velesto Sumber in the spotlight of the regional market.

Velesto Sumber, a subsidiary of Velesto Energy, has recently signed an official contract with Northern Gulf Petroleum to provide the Naga 6 self elevating drilling platform and supporting drilling services, with operations located in the Gulf of Thailand. The scope of work under the contract covers 7 wells, including 4 encrypted wells and 3 exploration wells, covering the complete operational chain from development to exploration, fully reflecting the client's confidence in the oil and gas potential of the area.

A drilling tool designed for the deep sea

The Naga 6 platform deployed this time is a high-end independent leg type self elevating drilling platform, with a maximum drilling depth of 30000 feet and a rated operating depth of 375 feet, capable of stable operation in complex sea conditions. As one of the core equipment under Velesto, Naga 6 has accumulated rich practical experience in multiple Southeast Asian waters. This deployment in the Gulf of Thailand will provide key equipment support for the exploration and development plan of Northern Gulf Petroleum, and is also another practical test of the platform's technical strength.

Continuously seizing the offshore drilling market

This signing is not accidental. Megat Zariman Abdul Rahim, President of Velesto Energy, said, "This contract further consolidates our drilling business layout in the region and demonstrates our ability to continuously seize opportunities in our core operating markets." Against the backdrop of increasingly fierce competition in the global offshore drilling market, Velesto Sumber is steadily expanding its market presence in Southeast Asia with mature platform operation capabilities and regional deep cultivation strategies. For Velesto, every contract is not just a business deal, but also a renewed commitment to its "reliable operation" brand. Keywords: Southeast Asian news, self elevating drilling platform
