Recently, in the Aktobe region of western Kazakhstan, a once barren construction site was lined with tower cranes and vehicles shuttling back and forth. Primus Capital of Kazakhstan and the senior management of China National Building Materials Corporation Cement jointly worked hard to lay the foundation for this modern cement plant with an annual output of 1.3 million tons. At the scene, the local administrative chief of Aktobe, the Chinese Consul General in the area, and the core management of Tianshan Materials were all present. On this day, it marks the arrival of a strong Chinese national team in the Central Asian building materials market.

170 million US dollars landed

The project is implemented by QazCem Industries LLP with a total investment of 176.9 million US dollars. It is planned to complete 75% of the project by 2026, with a corresponding investment of approximately 132.7 million US dollars. After the project is completed and put into operation, it can create 250 to 300 permanent job opportunities. At the groundbreaking ceremony, all parties simultaneously discussed the potential for future industrial cooperation between China and Kazakhstan, providing a demonstration for more Chinese enterprises to enter the Kazakhstan market.

Fill the gap in high-end production capacity

As Kazakhstan continues to promote infrastructure construction and industrial upgrading, the domestic demand for cement is steadily increasing. However, there is a shortage of local scale and modern production capacity supply, and long-term dependence on external inputs. The local area urgently needs to implement high standard and green building materials production capacity to fill the gaps in the industrial chain. This new project benchmarks international safety, quality, and environmental standards, accurately matching regional infrastructure upgrades and industrial construction needs, effectively filling the gap in high-end cement production capacity. Strategic pivot of Central Asia layout

This project is the first strategic landing project of Tianshan Materials in Central Asia, marking the official deepening of China's national building materials team in the physical market of Kazakhstan. Relying on the advanced production technology and international standards of Sinoma Cement, combined with the local resources and channel advantages of Harbin, the project not only helps to enhance the local industrial strength and cultivate professional technical talents, but also improves the layout of Chinese enterprises in the building materials industry in Central Asia, and builds a benchmark demonstration platform for future industrial capacity cooperation and technology output between China and Kazakhstan.Editor/Gao Xue
