Under the blue sea and sky, Qinzhou in Guangxi on the Beibu Gulf and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia across the ocean are closely linked by the common topic of artificial intelligence. On June 5, 2026, with the synchronous opening of the two artificial intelligence application cooperation centers, a cross-border digital handshake was officially completed. This is not only a concrete action to implement the joint statement between China and Malaysia on building a high-level strategic China Malaysia community with a shared future, but also a milestone moment for China's AI power to enter the ASEAN market on a large scale.

Double pivot layout forming
The two centers that will be put into use this time are located in the China Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park and the China Malaysia Artificial Intelligence Application Cooperation Center (Kuala Lumpur). They do not exist in isolation, but have built a dual pivot layout of domestic achievement incubation and overseas scene landing.
Both parties adhere to the seven major functional positioning of public services, technology display, and application promotion, and are committed to bridging the entire industry chain loop from technology research and development, achievement integration to the implementation of ASEAN scenarios. For the vast number of small and medium-sized enterprises in China and Malaysia, this will become a bridgehead for overseas landing, providing one-stop services such as policy consultation and project matching, helping China's AI technology and products achieve precise layout in the ASEAN market with scale and standardization.

Differentiated scenario integration
Although they belong to the same technological system, the two centers are tailored to local conditions and present differentiated display focuses. In Qinzhou, the exhibition hall displays cutting-edge achievements such as AI intelligent firefighting, special robots, low altitude equipment, marine intelligent equipment, and intelligent transportation, showcasing the hard power of Chinese technology.
In Kuala Lumpur, the displayed content is more in line with the local industrial needs of Malaysia. Technologies such as explosion-proof special robots, integrated fire extinguishing equipment for open spaces, crop protection drones, and underwater bionic robotic fish have all made their debut. Especially for the durian industry, which is a pillar of the local economy, the display of the intelligent harvesting system vividly illustrates how technology empowers traditional agriculture and achieves perfect adaptation between two regions under the same technological system.

The new ecology is accelerating its implementation
The practicality of the activity was fully reflected in the signing process. On the same day, the ASEAN Special Robot Industry Chain Strategic Cooperation Agreement was successfully signed, indicating that regional industrial chain cooperation has entered the fast lane.
It is worth noting that Beijing Maimai Technology has released an artificial intelligence+agricultural durian AI model on site, which will provide a new technological engine for the digital and intelligent upgrading of ASEAN characteristic agriculture. From the R&D brain of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, to the integration hub of Guangxi, and to the broad application scenarios of ASEAN, a complete cross-border digital economic ecological chain is accelerating to form, injecting strong digital momentum into the high-quality joint construction of the the Belt and Road.Editor/Yang Meiling
