Kazakhstan, located in the hinterland of Central Asia, is a key node in the land route linking Central Europe and Central Asia. The upgrading of road traffic is directly related to the development of regional logistics transportation and cross-border cooperation. This year, the local area has ushered in an upsurge of infrastructure construction. The renovation of old roads, the construction of new trunk lines, and the upgrading of cross-border corridors have been carried out simultaneously. Tens of thousands of kilometers of highways have been opened for renovation, and a series of key projects have been implemented, making the land transportation network in Central Asia more and more perfect.

Renewal of the global road network
This year, a number of key highway projects in Kazakhstan ushered in the final stage, and the infrastructure construction of the road network continued to accelerate. The Kizil Orda to Uletau highway will be fully completed and put into use within the year, and the Kizil Orda to Jezkazgan highway has been completed at the end of last year. This year, more than 10,000 kilometers of highways in China were included in the major repair, medium repair and reconstruction and expansion plan. Local highway repair, bridge construction and road supporting facilities construction were carried out simultaneously, and the traffic short board in the country was continuously supplemented to smooth traffic around the country.

New infrastructure accumulates kinetic energy
In order to further improve the main traffic system, new projects of heavy highways in Kazakhstan have been started. The 575-kilometre Karaganda-Jezkazgan highway, with a budget of 524 billion tenge, will begin construction at the end of this month and is expected to be completed within two years. With a total length of 765 kilometers and a total investment of 725 billion tenge, the Beiniu-Seksawul highway has been steadily advancing. Two high-standard projects have been implemented, which has greatly consolidated the national land transportation skeleton and improved the carrying capacity of trunk transportation. Keywords : Central Asian news and information, road network transformation, China-Europe channel

Cross-border access upgrading
At the level of external connectivity, Kazakhstan continues to optimize the cross-border traffic layout. The International Transport Corridor from Western Europe to Western China has ushered in an important upgrade. The section from Aktobe to Kyzyl-Orda will be upgraded from a secondary road to a primary road. The renovation project was launched this year, which significantly improved the efficiency of cross-border traffic between China and Europe. At the same time, the local government continued to promote the transformation of the border road from Zanauzin to Turkmenistan. Intensive infrastructure projects have fully activated the advantages of land hubs in Central Asia and built a solid traffic base for cross-border trade and regional connectivity between China and Europe.
