The capital of Chad, N'Djamena, is lush with greenery, and the city's new public leisure space is officially open for use. The Sino Chadian Friendship Park led by PetroChina Chad Company was successfully completed. Many politicians and representatives from all walks of life gathered at the site to witness the opening of this Minsheng Park, renew the friendship between China and the United States with a small warm heart project, and help the construction of the Belt and Road people to people connectivity go deep and solid.

Improve urban supporting facilities

On June 11, 2026, the completion and opening ceremony of the China Chad Friendship Park was successfully held in the capital of Chad, N'Djamena. Chadian Prime Minister Haruna, Chinese Ambassador to Chad Wang Xining, as well as Chad's Minister of Environment and Mayor of N'Djamena, and other guests attended the event and delivered speeches. More than 300 government, enterprise, and local representatives participated in the opening ceremony.

The park was jointly initiated by the Chinese Embassy in Chad, the Chadian Ministry of Petroleum, and the Ministry of Environment in 2025, and the entire construction process was led by China Petroleum Chad Company. The park covers an area of 12460 square meters and is scientifically divided into multiple functional areas such as landscape greening and children's play. It takes into account the multiple values of ecological restoration, residents' leisure, convenient services, and cultural exchanges. It is a high-quality public livelihood project rooted in the local area and serving the people. The park is equipped with photovoltaic energy storage and power generation systems, fully implementing green and low-carbon construction standards, and in line with global ecological development trends.

Guest speeches to discuss bilateral friendship

Chadian Prime Minister Haruna fully affirmed the achievements of the park construction in his speech. He said that this park has filled the gap of insufficient public green space in N'Djamena city and effectively optimized the urban ecological environment. The photovoltaic energy storage and power generation facilities installed in the park have been put into practice for the application of clean energy, fully implementing the concept of green development. The park is not only a leisure destination for local residents, but also a benchmark livelihood project for mutual benefit and cooperation between China and Chad, working together for common development.

Chinese Ambassador to Chad, Wang Xining, pointed out that the Chinese petroleum team has created a new urban green landmark for the capital of Chad with its excellent professional competence and down-to-earth construction attitude.
