Entering the industrial park of Beining Province, factories such as Samsung and Huawei operate around the clock, and the strong demand for electricity and green production requirements have always been local development challenges. Two new wind farms will solve this problem.

The People's Committee of Beining Province held a special ceremony and simultaneously released two official approvals, officially finalizing the investment planning schemes and project construction investors for two wind farms in the province. The total installed capacity of the two wind power projects reaches 160 megawatts, with an overall investment amount exceeding 6032 billion Vietnamese dong.

The first batch of wind power projects approved this time in Beining Province are SD Tongfeng Power Station and Beijiang No.2 Wind Power Station. The construction progress of the two major projects is advancing rapidly, and it is planned to be officially connected to the grid and put into commercial power generation in 2027. After the project is fully put into operation, it can effectively alleviate the continuously rising power gap in Beining Province, and also bring considerable market opportunities for energy investment enterprises.

Wen Wensheng, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Beining Province, pointed out that the local industrial electricity load has been high for a long time. After the completion of wind power projects, the electricity consumption market is sufficient, and there is no need to worry about sales issues. At the same time, the project can rely on the direct purchase electricity model to directly supply green electricity to multinational giants such as Samsung, Apple, Tesla, Nvidia, Huawei, etc. that have settled in the local area, and the market development space is very promising.

The direct purchase mode allows large industrial enterprises to bypass the power grid and directly purchase clean electricity from new energy power stations. This model can not only meet the low-carbon energy requirements of multinational enterprises, reduce their own carbon emissions, but also help enterprises improve their ESG ratings and brand image. It is also the mainstream direction for global leading enterprises to layout low-carbon development. Keywords: Vietnam, Samsung, wind power projects

After the landing and operation of the two wind power projects, on the one hand, it can help Beining Province attract more high-quality foreign-funded industrial projects, and on the other hand, it will further consolidate the local industrial foundation and solidify its position as a core province for green, low-carbon, safe and reliable intelligent manufacturing in Vietnam.Editor/Gong Ziwei
