During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on expanding trade scale, deepening investment cooperation, strengthening cooperation in agricultural and industrial complexes, transportation and logistics, and other fields.

Bektenov stated that Kazakhstan is entering a new stage of development. According to the constitutional amendment passed by the national referendum, President Tokayev's initiative to build a "just and progressive Kazakhstan" has been further implemented. Especially within the framework of the principle of "law and order", Kazakhstan continues to strengthen the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of foreign investors, continuously improve the investment environment, and enhance the level of legal protection.

Kazakhstan and China have a profound friendship and cooperative relationship based on mutual respect and support. Currently, the permanent comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries is continuously deepening and moving towards a new "golden thirty years".  

Li Qiang stated that in recent years, the two countries have maintained close high-level exchanges and bilateral relations have continued to deepen.

In recent years, China and Kazakhstan have maintained close high-level exchanges.   Currently, the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries continues to deepen and has become a model of mutual support and neighborly friendship. In the current international situation, as reliable partners, our two countries should strengthen coordination and work together towards cooperative development. China is willing to continue working together to strengthen political mutual trust, coordinate development strategies, expand cooperation in multiple fields, and benefit the people of both countries, "said Li Qiang.

China is one of Kazakhstan's most important trade and investment partners. By 2025, the trade volume between Kazakhstan and China will exceed 48 billion US dollars, and China's direct investment in Kazakhstan will reach 2.8 billion US dollars.

Agricultural cooperation maintains rapid growth. In 2025, the trade volume of agricultural products between the two countries will increase by 36% year-on-year, exceeding 1.9 billion US dollars. In the field of transportation and logistics, Kazakhstan continues to play an important hub role in connecting China and Europe's land transportation, with over 85% of related freight transported through Kazakhstan. In 2025, the freight volume of the Harbin China Railway will increase by 11% year-on-year, reaching 35.6 million tons.

During the visit, Bektenov also attended and delivered a speech at the special conference on the "the Belt and Road" initiative in Dalian.

He stated that Kazakhstan, located at the center of the Eurasian continent, can provide an important channel for businesses to enter the market of approximately 1.7 billion consumers. In the past 7 years, Kazakhstan has invested over 35 billion US dollars in the development of transportation and transit infrastructure, implementing major projects such as the Aktau container hub, Xi'an land port, and the "Dostyk Moint" railway double track.

Bektenov proposed five key directions to further promote the "the Belt and Road" cooperation, including strengthening infrastructure connectivity, building digital intermediate corridors, promoting green development, expanding trade and investment cooperation, and improving the financial cooperation mechanism.

Practice has proven that the closer the interconnectivity, the broader the opportunities for development. The cooperation between Kazakhstan and China is a vivid embodiment of this concept. Kazakhstan is willing to continue to be a trusted partner of China and an important bridge connecting regional development, working together with all parties to promote mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation. Interconnection is not only related to infrastructure construction, but also to people's well-being and common progress, "said Bektenov.

During the meeting, government leaders, experts and scholars from participating countries also discussed issues such as the future development of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, trade and supply chain restructuring, digital infrastructure construction, and the development prospects of the initiative by 2040.Editor/Gong Ziwei
