On June 9, 2026, at the 2026 World Accreditation Day event and the 3rd China Certification and Accreditation Conference, a food testing report covering multiple countries became the focus of the event. Behind this transcript is a cross-border technical dialogue among 285 laboratories on tongue tip safety.

The State Administration of Market Supervision and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization jointly released the verification results of food inspection capability of China and the countries jointly building the the Belt and Road on the same day. This comparison attracted a total of 285 domestic and foreign laboratories to participate, including 33 government and key laboratories from 15 co built countries. Through unified testing of key indicators such as lead, cadmium, chromium, and chloramphenicol, all parties have effectively improved the accuracy and consistency of data, further consolidating the cooperation foundation between China and relevant countries in the field of food safety.

As an internationally recognized means of technical exchange, proficiency testing can not only accurately analyze the technical differences of testing institutions, but also enhance mutual trust in testing results, thereby avoiding duplicate testing and technical barriers caused by inconsistent standards. The plan will be launched in Shanghai in June 2025, with the support of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the full technical support provided by the Chinese Academy of Quality Inspection and Testing Sciences.
