On June 23, 2026, the first cross-border cold chain container train from Tianjin International Land Port slowly departed, carrying 108 tons of frozen chicken breast meat to Moscow, Russia, with a cargo value of 1.2 million yuan. This is the first time that Tianjin International Land Port has launched cold chain trains, marking an efficient and stable new railway cold chain channel for fresh food exports in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region. It also means that the international logistics product system of the land port has achieved full coverage from ordinary goods to cold chain transportation.

Connect the last mile of fresh food exports

This train adopts professional constant temperature cold chain container transportation throughout the entire journey, relying on the advantages of cross-border railway intermodal transportation of China Europe trains, to achieve constant temperature preservation and zero loss cross-border transportation of fresh goods. As an important poultry processing cluster area in China, the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region has long been limited in the export of fresh products due to problems such as a single logistics channel and insufficient cold chain support.

This time, Tianjin International Land Port accurately meets the meat consumption needs of Russian people, replacing traditional road or sea transportation solutions with railway cold chain, greatly improving transportation efficiency and significantly enhancing quality stability. Guo Chunning, General Manager of Land Port, stated that Tianjin International Land Port has the operational conditions to undertake cold chain cargo transportation on a regular basis, and has built a specialized fresh food railway transportation channel from Tianjin to Moscow, consolidating the foundation of bilateral livelihood food trade cooperation.

Monthly production of 500 tons

According to the operational plan, Tianjin International Land Port will gradually achieve normalized shipment of cold chain goods, with a monthly shipping volume of up to 500 tons. In the future, we will also expand the categories of high value-added cold chain goods such as fresh food and pharmaceutical products, providing a more convenient, efficient, and safe cross-border logistics system for the export of various cold chain goods. The current economic and trade exchanges between China and Russia continue to grow, and Russia has a strong demand for fresh products such as poultry and aquatic products from China. Processing enterprises in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region can rely on the land port railway cold chain channel to steadily expand their overseas markets. Tianjin International Land Port is making every effort to build a cold chain logistics distribution center that radiates across the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region and connects domestic and international markets, further consolidating its strategic position as an important land opening hub for the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region.Editor/Cheng Liting
