In 2026, China will continue to expand the scale of West East energy transmission, with a focus on accelerating the construction of three north wind photovoltaic bases and transmission channels. It is expected to add more than 80 million kilowatts of electricity transmission capacity, while strengthening the transportation of West East gas and Xinjiang coal to ensure energy safety in the eastern and central regions. The more crucial transformation lies in the integration of Western energy and Western use. Policies will guide the orderly transfer of high-capacity industries to the west, and promote the synergy between advanced manufacturing industries such as computing power and hydrogen energy and clean energy bases. In the future, the western region will not only transmit electricity, coal, and natural gas to the outside world, but also convert energy into products and tokens through green hydrogen ammonia projects, injecting new momentum into the economic growth of the western region through the integration of clean energy and industry.Editor/Gao Xue
