From experience based consultation to AI prediction, from post repair to pre prevention and control, Tianjin Port Container Terminal has successfully created exclusive AI doctors for port equipment. Recently, the results of the national water transport port digital intelligence empowerment and low-carbon transformation green innovation practice evaluation were released. The "TCT equipment management intelligent agent innovation practice based on AI big model" independently developed by Tianjin Port Container Terminal stood out from 150 application cases nationwide and won the special prize of the competition.

Say goodbye to person to person operation and maintenance

For a long time, the operation and maintenance management of large port equipment has been a difficult problem in the industry. The entire process of equipment management, use, maintenance, repair, and testing used to rely on manual experience for decision-making. Equipment troubleshooting relied on the experience of senior technical personnel for judgment, and operation and maintenance experience was mostly passed down orally. Once the core equipment of the port malfunctions, the loading and unloading operations at the port will be forced to come to a halt, seriously affecting operational efficiency, and highlighting the drawbacks of the traditional operation and maintenance model in the industry.

The traditional operation and maintenance mode involves passive repair after a fault occurs, resulting in delayed rectification and higher risks; The new AI intelligent operation and maintenance system can achieve 24-hour uninterrupted monitoring of equipment operation status, predict potential faults in advance, and accurately push maintenance optimization solutions, promoting equipment operation and maintenance from passive treatment to active prevention and treatment, completely bidding farewell to manual experience operation and maintenance mode, and realizing data-driven and intelligent control.

To polish and improve this intelligent system, TCT has deeply activated more than 40 years of Hong Kong machinery operation and maintenance accumulation, transforming over 300 equipment maintenance standards, over 800 classic fault handling cases, and the practical experience of more than 50 senior technical backbones into standardized digital resources, laying a solid data foundation for AI model training.
