Relying on the location and logistics advantages of Tianjin International Land Port, the new rail public intermodal trains have been stably launched and operated. The new model integrates land and water transportation resources, complements the weakness of cross-border logistics transportation, and builds a solid logistics foundation for the foreign trade of Beijing Tianjin Hebei region and deepening the the Belt and Road economic and trade cooperation.

Newly opened channel
On July 15, 2026, a train loaded with 40 standard containers departed from Tianjin International Land Port, and the Tianjin Kazakhstan intermodal train officially achieved normal operation. The train adopts a transportation mode of whole train departure and multi line distribution. After exiting through the Baktu Port in Xinjiang, it is distributed by road to four core cities in Kazakhstan. The transportation of goods is diverse, covering five major categories including consumer goods, agricultural equipment, and industrial accessories, accurately matching the local market's demand.

This railway public intermodal transportation combines the advantages of large railway capacity, low cost, and flexible direct road transportation, solving the industry pain points of high transportation costs and insufficient accessibility at the end of pure railway transportation. It effectively shortens transportation time and reduces cargo transit losses. This channel provides an efficient and stable platform for the export of goods from the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region to Central Asia.
