WAIC 2026 kicked off as scheduled in Shanghai, focusing on global governance and international cooperation in artificial intelligence. The National Development and Reform Commission released two core achievements on site, providing a clear path and practical model for the coordinated development of the global intelligent industry.

On July 17, 2026, WAIC 2026 will be held in Shanghai. The National Development and Reform Commission, in conjunction with relevant departments, has officially released two important achievements: the Action Plan for Cooperative Development of Artificial Intelligence and the China Smart World 2026 Case Collection.
The action plan is based on the public goods attributes of artificial intelligence, deploying special actions around eight dimensions including data, computing power, ecology, and governance, actively responding to the United Nations' digital sustainable development initiative, helping to bridge the global digital divide, and improving the international cooperation system of artificial intelligence.

The case collection released this time is launched by the National Development and Reform Commission for three consecutive years, including ten international cooperation practice cases of artificial intelligence. Compared with previous editions, it has a wider coverage and richer application scenarios, focusing on showcasing the achievements of China's artificial intelligence opening-up and practical development concept. The two achievements will continue to promote the standardized and inclusive development of artificial intelligence worldwide.Editor/Min Jing
