The construction of the underground pipeline network in North Batina Province continues to advance, and the progress of the Sohar sewage expansion project led by Nama Water Services Company is steadily moving forward. This key project, worth nearly 19 million riyals, aims to improve regional municipal infrastructure and also reflects the nationwide trend of water upgrading in Oman, creating a market window for overseas equipment and engineering service providers.

Progress of project construction

The total investment of this project is 19 million Omani riyals, with an overall construction completion rate of 67%, covering multiple inland and coastal communities in Sohar. The project will be implemented in two stages, with the first phase laying various pipelines and constructing multiple pumping stations. The plan is to complete the project in the second quarter of 2027. The second phase will promote the connection of more than 3000 residential and commercial unit pipelines, and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2028. The project relies on the participation of local enterprises and technical talents, and has created a local added value of 1.5 million Omani riyals.

Overseas market opportunities

The Sohar project is not an isolated case. Multiple cities in Oman have simultaneously laid out sewage treatment plants and sewage pipeline network renovation projects, and the local area has officially entered the period of centralized construction of water infrastructure. The demand for pipeline pipes, pump valves, and pump station electromechanical equipment continues to release, and the domestic related industry chain has a competitive advantage.
