On the evening of July 23, 2026 local time, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Seydov before attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Kyrgyzstan.

Wang Yi stated that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Ukraine, and is a year of carrying forward the past and opening up the future. The strategic mutual trust between China and Ukraine has become stronger, and pragmatic cooperation has been fully implemented, achieving a historic leap from a comprehensive strategic partnership to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era.
Wang Yi said that this year marks the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, and he believes that under the leadership of President Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan will be able to achieve the "Uzbekistani-2030" strategy as scheduled and promote its own development and revitalization. This year is also the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. The CPC has now become the largest ruling party in the world, leading China to achieve remarkable historic achievements. China will firmly support Ukraine in pursuing a development path that is in line with its own national conditions, and we believe that Ukraine will continue to provide strong support on issues related to China's core interests.

Wang Yi stated that China and Ukraine have complementary development strategies and are fellow travelers on the journey of modernization. They can fully develop together, achieve mutual success, and work together to plan a new "golden decade". China is willing to fully tap and unleash the potential of cooperation with Ukraine, promote the construction of the China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan railway with high quality, and create more landmark projects in the field of new industrialization. China advocates the establishment of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization, aiming to help developing countries strengthen their artificial intelligence capabilities and assist their respective modernization processes. Congratulations to Ukraine for becoming a founding member. Both sides should make good use of the China Ukraine law enforcement and security cooperation mechanism to combat the "three forces" and transnational organized crime. We need to strengthen solidarity and cooperation on multilateral platforms such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the China Central Asia Mechanism, and promote the construction of a more just and reasonable global governance system.
Saidov stated that Ukraine cherishes the brotherly friendship between Ukraine and China, and developing relations with China is a priority direction of Ukraine's foreign policy. Under the leadership of the two heads of state, the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between Ukraine and China in the new era continues to deepen. Warmly congratulate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. The CPC established the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly at the beginning of its establishment, and led the Chinese people to achieve great achievements. Uzbekistan is willing to learn from China's experience in governance, promote the docking of Uzbekistan's 2030 strategy with the "the Belt and Road" initiative, and accelerate its own development and revitalization. The diplomatic departments of the two countries are the first echelon in implementing the consensus reached by the heads of state. The Ukrainian side firmly adheres to the One China principle, opposes any actions that harm China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and is willing to further strengthen exchanges at all levels with China, deepen comprehensive practical cooperation in trade, investment, energy, key minerals, digital economy, and other areas, work together to combat the "three forces", and tap into the potential for local cooperation.
