On July 22, 2026, Li Qinfeng, Chinese Ambassador to the Central African Republic, met with Biro, newly appointed Minister of National Defense of the Central African Republic. Ambassador Li congratulated Biro on his re-election and gave an introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Strengthening the Military.

Minister Biro stated that Xi Jinping Thought on Strengthening the Military is far-sighted and rich in connotations. Amid the volatile global landscape, it offers important inspiration for countries including the Central African Republic in advancing the modernization of national defense and armed forces.

China has always been a promoter and defender of peace as well as a mediator of international conflicts. Adhering to a path of peaceful development, the Chinese military actively participates in international peacekeeping operations, making important contributions to safeguarding world peace and stability in Africa. During his new term, he stands ready to further deepen military and defense cooperation with China and provide stronger security underpinnings for the bilateral strategic partnership.Editor/Min Jing
