On July 27, 2026, the heads of state of China and Brazil had a phone call to deepen exchanges on bilateral cooperation, BRICS development, and global governance. Both sides acknowledge the achievements of past cooperation, align future development plans, and lay a solid foundation for mutual benefit and stability of the international situation between the two countries.

Deepen bilateral cooperation

The Chinese side stated that the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Brazil is steadily advancing, and the strategic docking has achieved remarkable results, playing a positive role in the development, benefit of the people, and stability of the international situation between the two countries. Based on the development opportunities of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the beginning of the 15th Five Year Plan, China is willing to continue to deepen bilateral and multilateral cooperation between China and Brazil. At the same time, we advocate for both countries to establish themselves as important members of the global South, improve global governance, promote high-quality development of BRICS cooperation, support Brazil's independent development, and safeguard regional and world peace.

Expand cooperation areas

Brazil highly recognizes the achievements of China Brazil cooperation, and the scale of trade between the two countries continues to climb, consolidating the foundation of friendly cultural exchanges. Brazil looks forward to expanding into new areas of cooperation such as artificial intelligence and energy minerals, and welcomes Chinese companies to invest and develop locally.
