On August 3, 2026, Iran's Supreme Leader's military advisor Mukhsin Rezai stated in a media interview that Iran will never allow the United States to open any non Iranian routes in the Strait of Hormuz, and even if the United States deploys warships on illegal routes in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran will target them.

Rezai stated that Iran does not seek war, but the Iranian armed forces are fully prepared and will fight for Iran. Reza emphasized that the United States must change its behavior and comply with the terms of the Iran US Memorandum of Understanding; Otherwise, the Iranian armed forces will not stand idly by, and enemy warships will face serious danger.

Rezai also stated that Iran had previously prepared to attack three locations in Ukraine, but cancelled the attack due to Ukraine's apology.Editor/Min Jing
