Recently, the Global Digital Economy Cities Alliance and the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan officially signed a memorandum of understanding. Both sides have established a long-term and deep digital economy partnership based on the consensus of the United Nations Global Digital Compact and the Global Digital Friendship Initiative. This signing marks substantial progress in deepening the construction of digital friendly cities and promoting cross regional digital industry cooperation, and is also an important milestone for DEC40 to expand its urban digital ecosystem in Central Asia.

Focus on cutting-edge fields and carry out pragmatic cooperation

This memorandum of understanding specifies multiple long-term pragmatic cooperation arrangements. Both sides will focus on cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, digital government, and green computing power to carry out comprehensive and in-depth cooperation. Around the core demands of urban digital transformation, a normalized collaboration mechanism will be established to carry out practical linkage in areas such as technology experience exchange, industrial project co construction, digital talent cultivation, and international industry docking and exchange, and explore a digital city construction path that is in line with the actual development of Central Asia.

Promote key cities in Harbin to join the alliance

Bakhtiar Mohammad Kaliev, Deputy Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan, stated that signing a cooperation agreement with DEC40 has opened up a channel for Kazakhstan's various regions to directly connect with international top technology enterprise networks, introduce global best practices, and attract investment capital. Kazakhstan will actively promote its key cities to join the Global Digital Economy City Alliance, relying on the multilateral cooperation mechanism of the alliance to jointly promote the construction of local digital friendly cities, and jointly create a platform for digital economy dialogue and practical industrial cooperation between cities.

Building AI native cities and jointly building digital ecosystems

Hafang stated that the goal is not only to introduce cutting-edge technologies, but also to create favorable conditions to attract international partners and jointly build AI native cities. DEC40 will fully leverage the connecting and empowering role of international platforms, integrate global digital technology resources and industrial ecosystems, assist in the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of various regions in Kazakhstan, and work together to build a digital friendly and sustainable future city.
