The Inner Mongolia Power Transmission Shanghai Supporting River Crossing Project has recently started construction. The project starts from Chongming Island in Shanghai, crosses the main channel of the Yangtze River to Taicang in Jiangsu, and is the largest designed transmission capacity and deepest buried power tunnel in China. It is planned to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2030. The Inner Mongolia Shanghai Power Transmission Project has a total length of about 1800 kilometers and is expected to deliver over 40 billion kilowatt hours of electricity to Shanghai annually.Editor/Gong Ziwei
