On August 4, 2026, according to the official official account of Shenzhen Metro, Shenzhen Municipal Academy of Shenzhen Railway Group, together with Vietnam Construction, Industrial Construction Consulting and Vietnam IDECO Co., Ltd., formed a multinational cooperation consortium, officially signed a contract with Ho Chi Minh City Railway Management Committee, and won the feasibility study and FEED design consulting project of Ho Chi Minh City Railway Tulongmu to Ho Chi Minh City Section. Among them, Shenzhen Municipal Institute is responsible for the core design consulting work of the project, with a corresponding contract amount of approximately 45 million yuan. According to publicly available information, Shenzhen Metro has been consistently implementing key projects in the Vietnamese rail transit market in recent years, with a steadily accelerating pace of layout. In December 2025, led by Pacific Construction Group, a consortium formed by Shenzhen Municipal Design and Research Institute, Shenzhen Metro International Investment Consulting, and Shenzhen Building Materials Trading Group under Shenzhen Railway successfully won the bid for the Hanoi Metro Line 5 project in Vietnam, with a bid amount equivalent to approximately RMB 886 million. The team undertakes the core construction process of the project, covering key areas throughout the entire chain such as planning and design, equipment technical services, joint debugging and testing, and operational training. In May 2026, Shenzhen Railway Group once again made efforts and formed a consortium with Vietnam Transportation Investment and Construction Consulting Co., Ltd. to win the bid for the feasibility study consulting project of the extension of Hanoi Metro Line 2A, with a separate bid amount of 32 million RMB.
