On the vast land of Huayra, Peru, a large photovoltaic power station has reached a critical construction milestone, injecting strong momentum into the local green energy transformation. Recently, there has been significant good news from the Vaira Photovoltaic Project, which was constructed by POWERCHINA. The first 33 kV collection line of the project has successfully completed power transmission, and all equipment parameters are running smoothly. The project has entered a critical period of live commissioning.

The total installed capacity of the project is 96.9 megawatts, and 7 33 kV medium voltage collection circuits are planned to be installed. The remaining lines will be completed in batches for power transmission and overall joint debugging. After the project is put into operation, the average annual power generation can reach 250 million kilowatt hours, with a daily output of 685000 kilowatt hours of clean electricity. It can cover the annual electricity consumption of 230000 households in Peru and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 150000 tons annually, with outstanding ecological emission reduction benefits. Based on the regional resource endowment, this photovoltaic power station will operate in conjunction with the locally operated Vaira wind farm, creating a wind solar complementary comprehensive energy base with a total installed capacity of over 400 megawatts. By relying on the natural complementary characteristics of photovoltaic and wind power generation periods, we can effectively smooth out fluctuations in power output, significantly improve the reliability of local power grid supply and the self-sufficiency level of green energy in Peru, and demonstrate China's hard core strength in infrastructure technology going global.Editor/Min Jing
