Under the vast grasslands of Kazakhstan, mineral veins that have been dormant for billions of years are waiting to be awakened. For Solidcore Resources, the giant that controls the golden lifeline of Kazakhstan, the focus of the past thirty years has always been on the sparkling gold. However, at the "Qyzyljar Investment Forum" in 2026, the company made a key shift. With the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Tin One Mining and the government of North Kazakhstan, an investment of up to 150 billion tenge (approximately 315.5 million US dollars) has officially landed, targeting Syrymbet, the largest undeveloped tin mine in Central Asia. This is not only an expansion of the business map, but also a layout for the future strategic metal discourse power.

Lock in the Crown of Central Asian Tin Mines

The Xilinbete deposit is not a new face. It was discovered as early as 1985 but has been waiting for the right opportunity for development. Now, it has finally ushered in its shining moment. According to strict JORC standards, this deposit holds approximately 492400 tons of tin resources with an average grade of 0.40%. Its reserves account for over 70% of Kazakhstan's total tin reserves, making it a true "king of tin mines". In addition, the ore body is accompanied by approximately 91400 tons of copper resources and approximately 5.9 million ounces of gold equivalent, making it a true "polymetallic treasure trove". Solidcore's entry into the market this time is precisely due to its recognition of this rare resource endowment.

Targeting global supply chain gaps

The timing for developing Xilinbet is just right. Currently, the global tin market is in a tight equilibrium state. With the explosive development of new energy vehicles, semiconductor chips, and various high-end manufacturing industries, tin, as the core material for welding, has become increasingly prominent in its strategic position. The global trend of tight supply has given Kazakhstan, which holds resources, more confidence. Solidcore plans to build a modern beneficiation plant here to continuously deliver this critical metal to the global market. This will not only create about 800 job opportunities for Kazakhstan, but also help the country deeply integrate into the global strategic metal supply chain, transitioning from simple energy exports to diversified mineral exports.

The Second Entrepreneurship of Gold Giants

As the largest gold producer in Kazakhstan, Solidcore is listed on the Astana International Exchange and holds two operational mines and the Irtysh wet metallurgical plant, demonstrating strong capabilities. However, the risk of relying solely on gold business forces companies to seek new growth poles. Entering tin mines is an important step in expanding from traditional precious metals to key polymetallic resources. According to the plan, Tin One Mining will officially start mining in 2028, with a target annual output of approximately 11000 tons of tin. At that time, Solidcore will completely rewrite its gold based product structure, creating a promising tin ore growth curve beyond its gold business, making Xilinbet an important pivot for the company and even Kazakhstan's key mineral strategic layout.Editor/Yang Meiling
