In the strategic hub development near the coast of Indonesia, Baker Hughes has won core orders with a complete set of deepwater subsea equipment and digital operation and maintenance solutions, injecting strong momentum into regional natural gas production and energy security.

Recently, Baker Hughes has successfully won a large order for the offshore development project of the Kutai North Hub in Indonesia, providing a complete set of underwater production equipment and digital intelligent operation and maintenance solutions for the project. The cooperation order was finalized by Searah North Ganal, a subsidiary of Searah, which is a semi joint venture between Eni Group and Petronas Malaysia.

Provide a complete set of core equipment

According to the cooperation agreement, Baker Hughes will provide 17 sets of deepwater horizontal Christmas trees for the integrated development project of Geng North and Gehem oil fields, along with supporting delivery of manifolds, connectors, and oil and gas control distribution systems, to fully ensure the landing of subsea production operations in the oil fields.

Equipped with a digital operation and maintenance system

In addition, Baker Hughes will deploy the Cordant asset protection and condition monitoring system as a complementary measure. This system can monitor the real-time operation status of key equipment, actively identify and avoid equipment operation risks, effectively reduce unplanned project downtime issues, and ensure the continuity of mining operations. The complete technical solution can significantly improve the efficiency of underwater natural gas extraction, help Indonesia increase its liquefied natural gas production capacity, and strengthen its domestic energy supply guarantee capability.

Efficient delivery of local production capacity

To ensure the quality of project delivery and supply chain stability, Baker Hughes will rely on the local production and operation system in Indonesia to promote the project. The core Christmas tree equipment will be produced by the Batam Global Subsea Equipment Manufacturing Center, and the Balikpapan factory will provide follow-up operation and supporting services, greatly improving delivery efficiency.
