On August 14th, Uganda National Water and Sewage Company disclosed in Kampala that its customer connections have increased from approximately 300000 to over 1 million over the past few decades, and has set a target of 1.25 million connections by 2030; The water pipeline network has expanded from about 6000 kilometers to over 25000 kilometers. The water supply network project in the Greater Kampala metropolitan area is laying nearly 70 kilometers of pipelines, constructing new reservoirs and booster pump stations, and is expected to be completed by August 2027; The company also plans to expand the Katosi water treatment plant, adding approximately 80000 cubic meters per day of production capacity.
