In the first seven months of 2026, the port traffic data of the China Europe freight train has submitted a steady and upward report card. The cumulative operation volume of the six core ports in China has exceeded 13000 trains, and the container shipment volume has synchronously climbed to over 1.3 million TEUs. Against the backdrop of the continuous adjustment of the global cross-border logistics pattern, this land trade channel that crosses Asia and Europe still maintains strong growth resilience.

Core dual ports continue to lead the traffic list

From January to July, a total of 12988 China Europe freight trains were operated at the six major ports in China, sending 1303531 TEUs of goods, a year-on-year increase of 13.8%. Among them, Alashankou Port won the double first place in terms of operating volume and cargo shipment volume with 4341 trains and 455325 TEUs, followed closely by Manzhouli Port with 3487 trains and 343344 TEUs, firmly ranking second on the double list.

As the two core gateways for the China Europe freight train, Alashankou and Manzhouli account for over 60% of the total transportation volume. The carrying capacity of the two major ports continues to be released, becoming the core pillar supporting the steady growth of the overall transportation volume of the China Europe freight train.

Monthly operational efficiency remains high

In July, a total of 1802 China Europe freight trains were operated at the six major ports and stations, sending 181374 TEUs of goods. The monthly freight volume continued to remain in the high operating range. Alashankou maintained the first place in both monthly rankings with 580 trains and 61358 TEUs, while Manzhouli completed 525 trains and 50418 TEUs, ranking second on the monthly list.

The stable performance of monthly data confirms the continuous optimization of port clearance efficiency and train scheduling organization ability. Even during the traditional logistics peak season, there was no obvious congestion or pressure in the channels, and the stability of the entire chain operation has been significantly improved compared to previous years. From the beginning of the year to the middle of the year, the volume growth of China Europe freight trains did not show significant fluctuations and maintained a steady growth rate of over 10%. In the current context of global sea freight price fluctuations and supply chain restructuring, this cross Asian land logistics channel is providing stable and reliable transportation support for trade between China and the Eurasian continent.Editor/Cheng Liting
