The construction site of the Guoyuan Port Economic Industry Development Project in Longsheng New City, Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing in August is still busy. More than 200 construction workers are synchronously advancing multiple processes, and the overall construction progress of this municipal key project has reached 70%, approaching the node of being put into use at the end of the year.

As a key supporting carrier of the Western Land Sea New Corridor, its landing will fill the last piece of the puzzle for the agglomeration of port industries in Guoyuan Port, an inland open hub.

Multi process parallel sprint for year-end delivery

The total land area of the project is 37900 square meters, with an above ground construction area of 40000 square meters. Two large space factory buildings are planned to be constructed, which will be equipped with office and living service facilities simultaneously. At present, the main structure of the first and second factory buildings has been fully capped, and the installation of indoor fine decoration and mechanical and electrical equipment has been synchronized with the construction of the roof and exterior wall steel structure. The project adopts customized design with large load and wide column spacing, combined with pre investment and pre docking mode, which can directly match the refined production and warehousing needs of the settled enterprises, avoiding resource waste in subsequent secondary transformation. The project is scheduled to be officially delivered and put into use on December 30, 2026.

Hub level reaches a new level

As the strategic connection point of the the Belt and Road of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the new land and sea channel in the west, Guoyuan Port has an annual container handling capacity of 2 million TEUs, and 5000 ton cargo ships can directly reach the port throughout the year. The region is connected to the two trillion level industrial bases of Chongqing automobile manufacturing and electronic information in the north, and leading enterprises such as Changan Sailis and BOE have already completed port layout, making it an important core node for industrial supply chain configuration in the central and western regions. Previously, the Chongqing Supply Chain Management Company of the Land Sea New Channel completed a new round of capital increase, with the registered capital rising to 122 million yuan, providing supply chain service capabilities ahead of schedule for the landing of the port industry.
