The construction of Tianshan Road network has achieved a key breakthrough, and the highly anticipated key project of Kuiduku Expressway has officially started construction. The new super bridge has landed in the hinterland of Tianshan Mountains, not only setting a new record for bridge construction in Xinjiang, but also completely solving the problem of traffic on the Duku Highway, and helping to upgrade regional transportation and cultural tourism industries in both directions.

On August 25, 2026, the main bridge of the Gongnaisi Extra Large Bridge on the Kuiduku Expressway, constructed by China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau, officially started construction. The main bridge of the bridge has a total length of 790 meters and a main span of 390 meters. The heights of the two main towers are 206.7 meters and 241.2 meters respectively. After completion, it will surpass the Guozigou Bridge and become the bridge with the largest span and highest tower in Xinjiang. The first pile drilled this time has a length of 60 meters and a diameter of 2.5 meters, with precise implementation of various construction parameters, laying a solid foundation for the progress of the project.

Open up the bottleneck of transportation in Tianshan Mountains
The traditional Duku Highway is only passable for 5 months, with a travel time of up to 14 hours. After the completion of the 393 kilometer Kuiduku Expressway, it will be open to traffic all year round, with travel time reduced to 4 hours. The project adopts a high-speed construction standard of 100 to 120 kilometers per hour, connecting multiple important cities in Xinjiang, while supporting facilities such as observation platforms and service areas, creating a new model of integrated development of transportation and tourism.
