As the core transportation artery in China, the Beijing Shanghai Railway has dense traffic and heavy freight tasks, and the renovation of old bridges has always been a challenge for the industry. On August 20, 2026, CR14G innovated the construction method and completed the overall replacement of a century old bridge without affecting train traffic, solving the pain points of mainline renovation.

Facing construction challenges head-on
The reconstruction bridge of the Zaozhuang section of the Beijing Shanghai Railway was first built in 1911 and has been in service for over a hundred years, but there are certain safety hazards. This route operates over 200 trains per day and accounts for nearly one-fifth of the country's annual freight volume, making it a crucial transportation channel. The biggest difficulty of this renovation is that the entire process cannot be stopped, trains need to pass normally, and conventional track breaking construction methods are completely unsuitable, which puts extremely high demands on construction technology and overall planning ability.

Innovative construction technology
The project team innovatively adopts a relay beam replacement process, first setting up a temporary structure to bear the train load, reducing the burden of dismantling the old beam, synchronously pouring the new bridge on site, and smoothly completing the line handover. To minimize operational impact, the project will complete more than 90% of its processes off-site ahead of schedule, and only utilize the absence of trains at night to carry out core operations.
