Recently, the EPCIC general contracting contract for the Brunei Bukit Panggar Phase II Gas Combined Cycle Power Generation Project was officially signed at the Brunei Prime Minister's Office. Azmi, the Minister in charge of Energy and Upstream and Downstream Affairs of the Brunei Prime Minister's Office, Liu Guangming, the Minister in charge of Finance, Chen Shaochun, the Chinese Ambassador to Brunei, and Shi Rongke, the Economic and Commercial Counsellor, attended the signing ceremony. Zhou Jiayi, Deputy General Manager of Power Construction International and General Manager of Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters, Yang Yixin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Hydropower Bureau 8, and others attended the event.

The Bukit Panggar Phase II Gas Combined Cycle Power Generation Project is located in the eastern part of Brunei, with an installed capacity of 215.46 MW and a total construction period of 31 months. As the first gas-fired power station project obtained by a Chinese enterprise in Brunei, the completion of the project will further enhance Brunei's power supply guarantee capability, meet the local economic and social development and industrial electricity demand, and assist in the implementation of the "2035 Vision" and economic diversification development. It is an important breakthrough for PowerChina Construction to deeply cultivate Brunei's energy and electricity market.Editor/Min Jing
