The competition in the overseas power infrastructure market is fierce, and domestic power engineering enterprises continue to deeply cultivate the Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets, constantly winning major engineering project orders. With mature engineering technology and full chain service capabilities, they have continuously landed a number of benchmark energy projects in the energy construction field of multiple countries.

Four projects in Cambodia have been finalized

Recently, Shandong Electric Power Construction has once again achieved good news in its overseas business sector, winning four consecutive engineering orders in Cambodia, namely the 205 MW photovoltaic EPC project in Bodhisattva Province, Cambodia, the CART biomass thermal power plant phase IV project in Cambodia, the 200 MW energy storage EPC project at Anlung Run substation in Battambang Province, Cambodia, and the 200 MW energy storage EPC project in Kampong Thom Province, Cambodia.

Diversified empowerment of Cambodian energy

The 205 MW photovoltaic EPC project in Putrajaya Province, Cambodia is located in the outskirts of Dunjiao County, covering an area of approximately 200 hectares, with a DC installed capacity of 205 MW and an AC capacity of 150 MW. Shandong Electric Power Construction is responsible for all aspects of the project, including site cleaning, civil engineering operations, equipment procurement, cross-border customs clearance and transportation, equipment installation and commissioning, grid connection acceptance, and will also provide one-year operation and maintenance services. After the project is put into operation, the estimated power generation for the first year is 325 gigawatt hours, and green zero carbon electricity will be transmitted to the local area.

The fourth phase of CART Biomass Thermal Power Plant in Cambodia is located in Qilu Industrial Park, Chaizhen Province. It will construct two 130 ton/hour high-temperature and high-pressure circulating fluidized bed boilers, one 30 MW condensing steam turbine generator unit, and supporting facilities. After the completion of the project, it can provide stable thermal and electrical power to the Sailun Cambodia factory, becoming a key self provided energy support for the park.

The two EPC projects for grid side energy storage in Cambodia have a scale of 100 MW/200 MWh and are located in the provinces of Kampong Thom and Battambang. Shandong Electric Power Construction is responsible for the design of energy storage systems, equipment supply and transportation, on-site construction, and commissioning and testing. The project's operation can achieve peak and frequency regulation of the power grid, smooth out fluctuations in new energy generation, and improve the stability of power supply in Cambodia's main power grid.

Oman market achieves another breakthrough

Shandong Electric Power Construction Third Company has completed the signing of the EPC project for the 1700 MW combined cycle power plant in Misfa, Oman. This is another important achievement for the company in the high-end electricity market in Oman, following the 890 MW combined cycle power plant in Dukam, Oman. The project is located in the Muscat region of Oman and is a key large-scale gas combined cycle power generation project of the Omani government. It is also a key component of the country's main power grid. The project aims to enhance the level of efficient gas-fired power generation, provide peak shaving support for the integration of new energy into the grid, ensure the smooth operation of the power grid, and adapt to the continuously rising electricity demand in the local area. The implementation of relevant projects is also a vivid practice of practical cooperation in the energy field under the framework of the the Belt and Road Initiative.Editor/Gong Ziwei
