On September 3, 2026, Astana International Exhibition Center is about to host an annual event in the industrial and mining sector. The Kazakhstan International Construction Machinery and Mining Machinery Exhibition will be held here grandly, and the exhibition period will last until September 5th. From over 400 exhibiting companies to an exhibition area of 35000 square meters, from industry representatives from more than 20 countries to over 30000 professional visitors, the annual benchmark for the Central Asian industrial and mining market is ready to take off.

Comprehensive release of industrial demand
As the largest economy in Central Asia, Kazakhstan's GDP accounts for 60% of the regional total, and its demand for industrial and mining infrastructure is fully exploding. In the first quarter of 2026, fixed capital investment reached 3.46 trillion tenge, mining investment was 564.8 billion tenge, and manufacturing investment was 502.6 billion tenge. The total output value of the mechanical engineering industry reached 2.03 trillion tenge in the first 11 months of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 15.7%. The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank plans to unlock $6 billion in infrastructure investment by 2029, while the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the World Bank will provide over 800 billion tenge for the construction of the Beneu to Sacsorsky highway.

International giants accelerate their layout
International mining giants are accelerating their layout in Kazakhstan. During President Tokayev's visit to Japan, he met with the President of Hitachi Construction Machinery to discuss the localization cooperation of mining equipment. Komatsu announced the construction of the largest equipment maintenance complex in Central Asia in Astana and plans to open a regional training center. Denmark's FLSmidt invests $15 million to expand the Karaganda service center and strengthen the maintenance capabilities of mining equipment in Central Asia. Upgrade the exhibition lineup again
This year's CMM EXPO is the only professional construction machinery exhibition in Kazakhstan in 2026 and has been included in the city's key overseas market development plan. China's top brands such as Sany, XCMG, Zoomlion, Liugong, and Lingong will make a concentrated appearance. The exhibition has added a new energy engineering machinery hall, an intelligent mining zone, and a China Kazakhstan production capacity docking hall, focusing on three major directions: high-altitude adaptation, intelligent mining, and green engineering. After moving to Astana International Exhibition Center, the indoor and outdoor exhibition space has been greatly improved. The organizer, in collaboration with Astana Exhibition Bureau, provides one-stop services such as visa invitation letters, customs clearance logistics, and high-altitude venue construction. The exhibits cover a full range of engineering and mining machinery, including excavators, loaders, crushers, and drilling machines, and are expected to attract over 30000 professional visitors. As a key node of the the Belt and Road, Kazakhstan is opening the door to the 10 billion level market in Central Asia to global industrial and mining enterprises through this annual event.Editor/Gao Xue
