Recently, in an equipment factory in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, the last EU CE standard test data was frozen in the qualified range. The tense nerves of the PCI TECHNOLOGY GROUP CO., LTD. project team after days of tension finally relaxed, and applause rang out in the factory building. At this point, the first two batches of factory acceptance tests for the automatic ticketing system of the Kuching Intelligent Express Line have been completed. Both batches of equipment have passed the full inspection of the EU CE standard in one go, and have passed the dual strict acceptance of the owner and the general contractor with excellent zero defects.

The general contractor of the project, China Railway Electrification Bureau Group Malaysia Kuching Rail Transit Weak Current Integration Project Management Department, hereby sends a formal letter of commendation, highly affirming the professional tackling ability and full process service supporting strength demonstrated by the Jiadu team under extreme construction period. The success of the second batch of factory inspections further confirms PCITECH's stable and reliable quality control level in continuous batch delivery. At present, the third batch of factory inspections has entered the preparation stage, and the delivery of all equipment is steadily progressing according to plan.
Breakthrough in ticketing for hydrogen powered rail transit
The Kuching Intelligent Express System is a key livelihood project in Sarawak, Malaysia, and also the first benchmark project in Southeast Asia to adopt hydrogen powered intelligent transportation AFC system. In response to the local urgent demand for green, affordable and integrated public transport, PCITECH has innovatively developed a central clearing and settlement and Internet ticketing integration platform. The system is about to enter the on-site deployment stage, and in the future, it will build a safe and reliable automatic ticketing ecosystem, which will strongly support the integration and development of local diversified payment ecosystems, and enable seamless connection between green travel and smart ticketing.

Tackling customization and cross-border delivery
During the project execution, complex challenges such as deep customization of underlying software and lengthy cross-border delivery chains arise one after another. PCITECH quickly established a special task force to coordinate the entire process of research and development, prototyping, software, and testing. The team tackled pain points such as data encryption security, compatibility with multiple electronic payment platforms and payment methods one by one, and achieved all key milestones on schedule. The commendation letter specifically pointed out that PCITECH has outstanding performance in software and hardware compatibility and on-site implementation coordination, and is a trusted overseas infrastructure high-quality partner.
The full chain solution has been recognized by senior management
The AFC solution implemented this time is PCITECH's customized full link intelligent ticketing system for overseas new rail transit scenarios, covering front-end terminals, back-end control, and mobile services. The self-developed automatic ticket vending machines and wide channel turnstiles with front-end configuration were highly recognized during the on-site inspection by the Prime Minister of Sarawak. The backend is equipped with a self-developed AFC management platform, which integrates ticketing clearing and device monitoring functions. The mobile application for passengers supports online ticket purchasing and QR code gate crossing, and is compatible with multiple financial cards and local stored value cards for direct card tapping and gate crossing, achieving a fully digital closed-loop experience from ticket purchase to exit.

It is worth mentioning that PCITECH's overseas layout is accelerating its landing. At present, the overseas marketing headquarters in Singapore and the research and development center in Hong Kong are working together to promote interconnectivity with the local payment ecosystem, in addition to hardware delivery. The steady progress of the Kuching project is another important milestone for PCITECH to deeply cultivate the markets along the the Belt and Road. By the end of 2025, the company's smart rail transit technology products have served 48 cities and over 2400 stations worldwide. In the future, PCITECH will continue to use full stack self-developed technology and integrated delivery to export more high-quality Chinese intelligent rail transit solutions to the world.Editor/Yang Meiling
