In 2001, a Chinese engineering team entered the Snow Mountain Gorge in Kyrgyzstan with surveying instruments and road construction machinery. At that time, no one expected that this residency would last for more than 20 years. The once bumpy mountain roads from Bishkek to Naryn, from Issyk Kul Lake to the Port of Biederi, are now being replaced by asphalt roads and high pier bridges. CRBC uses the youth of two generations of builders to gradually connect the mountainous country with "impassable roads and goods" into a network of regional interconnectivity.

Transportation as the root

At the beginning of entering Ji, CRBC locked infrastructure as its core business. Landmark projects such as the Bishkek Naren Turgat Highway, the Kyrgyzstan section of the China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan International Highway, the Southern Transport Corridor, and the North South Alternative Highway have been successively implemented. The Kyrgyzstan section of the China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan Highway was fully completed in 2012, significantly reducing cross-border transportation time. Fruit farmers along the route have become accustomed to "picking in the morning and arriving in Kashgar at night"; The replacement of the second north-south highway passes through Jalalabad and Naren states, including a long tunnel and a high pier bridge. After its opening, the north-south journey will be shortened by about 4 hours.

At present, some sections and bridges of the Balskon Biederi Highway, Issyk Kul Ring Road, and the northern bypass road of Bishkek are advancing simultaneously. The total length of the northern ring is 33.4km. It is built according to the standard of a two-way six lane, 110km/h first-class highway. In the future, transit trucks from the Almaty Bishkek Tashkent international channel will be diverted to ease the congestion in the capital.

The Balskon Biedeli Highway has a total length of about 161 kilometers, with 2 extra long tunnels and 50 bridges planned. It is expected to be completed by 2030 and will become the third land route between China and Kyrgyzstan, reducing the transportation distance from Xinjiang to Issyk Kul by about 500 kilometers.

Mountain assault

80% of Kyrgyzstan's territory is mountainous, with permafrost, extreme cold and oxygen deficiency, and frequent avalanches being the norm. The Suyao Ke Tunnel has an altitude of over 3800 meters and is a 5340 meter long tunnel excavated in frozen soil layers; The narrowest point of the river valley access road towards Biedili is less than 3 meters, with 32 consecutive sharp turns hanging on the cliff. CRBC relied on scientific exploration, permafrost remediation, snow shelter tunnels, and complete sets of high-altitude tunnel technologies to tackle tough challenges, and collaborated with Jilin engineers to research and retain the technology locally.

The cost side is also under pressure. Due to rising material prices and remote logistics, the company relies on fine management, optimized construction organization, and improved equipment turnover efficiency to control costs, but the quality red line is not loose. Deep localization at the project level: Priority will be given to hiring local employees, equipment leasing, sand and gravel transportation, short distance transportation, and some roadbed projects will be handed over to Kyrgyzstan enterprises. Over the past 20 years, 54 projects have been implemented in Kyrgyzstan, creating more than 100000 jobs. The Bishkek municipal road network has been renovated for 211 kilometers in 8 years, covering 135 streets and directly benefiting millions of citizens.

Comprehensive co construction

Beyond road construction, CRBC's business boundaries are opening up. Bishkek municipal road network, Manas International Airport navigation lighting renovation, Lake Issyk Kul Chorponata sewage treatment plant (daily processing capacity of 14200 cubic meters, serving about 100000 people, purification rate of 98%), modernization of Oshkur Shab Sai irrigation system, and civil engineering of Osh Maternity and Child Health Hospital - water conservancy, municipal, and medical projects have been successively completed.

In the future, while consolidating transportation infrastructure, the company will explore energy, investment and financing, and PPP models, shifting from being a contractor for projects and engineering to a resource integrator with funds, solutions, and industrial chains. As the head of the office said, the goal is not to build more roads, but to rely on engineering capabilities and international experience to provide a comprehensive solution for the shortcomings of infrastructure and people's livelihood in Kyrgyzstan.keywords:Engineering infrastructure

From the tunnel face at the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains to the foundation pit of the sewage treatment plant by Lake Issyk Kul, CRBC's more than 20 years have confirmed one thing: when the highway is built into the valley, the flow of goods, passengers, employment, and hope will also follow. The road is still extending forward, and cooperation has crossed the roadbed, leading to a wider world.Editor/Yang Meiling
