On August 31, 2026, a construction site in Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone, Xinjiang, was bustling with machinery and vehicles. Song Shijie, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Xinjiang Xinye Group, and his delegation visited the site of the 2 billion cubic meters/year coal to natural gas project in Zhundong to inspect the overall progress of the project. As he walked, he inquired in detail about the construction organization and design progress, with fine beads of sweat on his forehead, and his gaze fixed on this land that carries the energy strategy mission.

As the Tianzi No.1 project of Xinye Group, the Zhundong Coal to Gas Project is located in the National Coal to Oil and Gas Strategic Base and has now entered the construction phase of comprehensive efforts. At the subsequent on-site promotion meeting, Song Shijie listened to the report from the project command center on peripheral support, equipment procurement, and safety control, and deployed key tasks such as construction progress, engineering quality, and construction safety. He emphasized that all participating units and project teams must anchor their goals, solidify their responsibilities, seize the golden period of construction, push forward the nodes and work, and make every effort to ensure that the project is completed on schedule and put into operation smoothly.

Scientific coordination ensures progress

At the project promotion meeting, construction organization became the first focus of attention. Song Shijie requested the detailed preparation of a three-level construction schedule, which corresponds nodes, personnel, and material support one by one, ensuring efficient connection between each process, and achieving the goal of letting people wait for work rather than waiting for others. Currently, the project site is implementing scientific coordination to refine the construction plan to the day and assign responsibilities to individuals, providing a solid guarantee for seizing the golden construction period.

Source control improves quality

Design is the source of engineering construction. Song Shijie emphasized the need to accelerate the detailed design progress, strengthen the allocation of design personnel and drawing review, and prioritize ensuring the on-site construction design requirements. At the same time, it is necessary to actively learn from production and operation experience to optimize design plans and reduce potential operational risks from the source in the later stages.
