On the vast grasslands of Kazakhstan, a brand new railway line with a length of 323.3 kilometers is waiting to be opened. The track connection project for the Karagan to Ultau and Moint to Kizilzar railway lines has been completed, and the project construction has entered the final stage of completion. This transportation artery, which has been pushed forward according to the President's instructions, is about to become a key link in the trans Caspian international transportation route (middle corridor), paving the way for a shorter and faster passage for the Central Asian freight version.

Subtraction of 149 kilometers of mileage

After the new route is put into operation, the freight transportation route will be shortened by 149 kilometers, effectively reducing the capacity load of the section from Moynte to Zarek. The operating speed of container trains will significantly increase, and the capacity for freight and transit transportation will expand simultaneously. This is not only an extension of a railway track, but also an important upgrade in the logistics efficiency of the entire middle corridor, providing infrastructure support for Kazakhstan to expand international transportation channels and expand the scale of export goods transportation.

The race between engineering and time

The project construction strictly follows the established schedule and advances at high speed, using advanced technology solutions to efficiently organize operations in complex areas. The new railway line passes through the Ultau and Karaganda regions, with a total length of 323.3 kilometers, and is currently one of the largest infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan. According to the approved schedule, this railway will be put into use within 2026, injecting new energy into regional connectivity. New version of logistics map for connected areas

The new railway is an important link in the international transportation route across the Caspian Sea, which will improve the level of transportation connectivity and freight efficiency between various regions. It not only physically shortens the east-west transportation distance, but also strategically strengthens Kazakhstan's position as a transit hub for the Eurasian continent. With the opening of this railway, the freight capacity of the central corridor will be systematically improved, providing more efficient logistics support for international trade in Central Asia and beyond.Editor/Gao Xue
