With the continuous heating up of economic and trade cooperation between China and Uzbekistan, the talent gap is gradually becoming prominent. Relying on pre education and training in industrial layout has become a new breakthrough for deepening cooperation between the two countries.

Recently, Saida Mirziyoyeva, the head of the executive branch of the President of Uzbekistan, met with senior Chinese officials to focus on deepening bilateral cooperation in multiple fields. The current cooperation between China and Uzbekistan has shifted from traditional commodity trade to technology implementation and industrial co construction, with a large number of Chinese funded enterprises rooted locally, covering key areas such as energy, manufacturing, agriculture, and automobiles.

The landing of industries has generated a large demand for localized technical talents, and it is difficult to sustain long-term development solely through expatriate personnel. By 2026, 100 technical colleges in Uzbekistan will have introduced vocational education systems from multiple countries, with a focus on cultivating practical talents for industries, which is highly compatible with the layout of Chinese enterprises. Compared to the traditional model of sending international students abroad, the localization of Chinese educational resources has become a new trend. The training model of school enterprise linkage and industry education integration can accurately match local industrial needs, reserve technical, management, and operation and maintenance talents in advance, help improve the quality and efficiency of cooperation between China and Uzbekistan, and consolidate the foundation of long-term friendly cooperation between the two countries.Editor/Min Jing
