After multiple rounds of rigorous mainline joint testing, the London Elizabeth Line has welcomed a new supply of transportation capacity. The new train built by the Alstonderby factory has officially been put into operation, relieving passenger pressure on this popular railway line in the UK and laying a solid foundation for future road network upgrades, becoming a new benchmark achievement for local rail transit manufacturing in the UK.

The new car has been successfully put into operation

Recently, the newly added 345 type train with the code 345071 was officially accepted by Transport for London. Just three days later, the train successfully started passenger services on the Elizabeth Line. Before the train was put into operation, Alstom, Transport for London, and the line operator GTS worked together to complete all mainline testing work, ensuring that the vehicles served citizens' travel in a stable state. The vehicle put into operation this time is the first of the 10 newly added trains in this batch, marking the official landing of the line capacity upgrade project. A single 9-car electric multiple unit consisting of 5-mile welding, 50 mile cables, 47700 screws, and 31700 bolts, with exquisite craftsmanship and solid materials. This project is fully funded by the UK government and will not only adapt to the current surge in passenger traffic, but also undertake the passenger demand of the future HS2 plan at Old Oak Common station. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Derby factory, and the delivery of this new car is a significant achievement for this Alstom global core manufacturing base.Editor/Min Jing
