The exchange in the energy sector between China and Malaysia continues to deepen. A delegation from the Malaysian State Power Company visited the CEEC headquarters, where high-level officials from both sides held face-to-face consultations to explore new directions for long-term cooperation on multiple business areas related to energy transformation.
On September 8, 2026, Ni Zhen, Secretary of the CEEC Party Committee and Chairman, met with Tan Sri Abdul Razak, Chairman of the State Grid Corporation of Malaysia, at the Beijing headquarters. Ni Zhen welcomes the visit of the other party, stating that Malaysia is the core overseas market of CEEC. The company will rely on its full industry chain advantages to deepen cooperation in high-end consulting and planning, large-scale gas turbine new energy computing and power coordination, and other fields, to help Malaysia achieve its 2050 carbon neutrality vision.
Tan Sri Abdul Razak stated that Malaysian power companies are promoting the coordinated construction of new energy gas power generation and energy storage grids. They look forward to the establishment of regular communication channels between the two sides, joint research and development of cutting-edge technologies, deep exploration of cooperation potential in pumped storage, water conservancy and hydropower fields, and joint efforts to promote the transformation of local energy structure and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.Editor/Min Jing
