In the sea breeze of Qingdao, a forum brought out the new cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia. Saudi giants are optimistic about China's desalination technology, and two major projects have been implemented. Both sides are exploring cost reduction and resource recycling together.

Tariq Nada, Vice President of Saudi Electricity and Water Company, stated at the forum that seawater desalination is a key source of water supply for Saudi Arabia and is seeking to deepen cooperation with China in the fields of technology, engineering, and concentrated salt water resource recovery. Chinese companies have participated in the Rabig No. 4 and No. 3 desalination plants, with a designed daily production capacity of 600000 cubic meters each. By the end of 2025, the global desalination capacity will exceed 68 million cubic meters per day, and China's production capacity will reach 3.077 million cubic meters per day, with plans to increase it to over 4.5 million cubic meters by 2030.
