The Moroccan high-speed railway is extending southward, with newly installed stations along the line. A bidding plan covering six new city stations has been quietly released, opening a new window for Chinese enterprises to participate in Morocco's railway infrastructure.

Package Section 1 for Six Stations

The Moroccan National Railway Authority (ONCF) has launched a bidding process for the construction of six new stations on the Kenitra Casablanca railway corridor, with a total tax amount of approximately 480 million dirhams, or approximately 131 million US dollars. This bidding belongs to the supporting project of the Kenitra Marrakesh high-speed railway project, with 6 stations packaged into one section. The bidding deadline is October 29, 2026, with a temporary bid security deposit of 6 million dirhams. Technical scheme changes are not accepted, and the bidding documents must be submitted electronically. The construction content covers six stations in Sidi Tahbi, Sidi Bukhnadur, Sidi Abdullah, Salitabrikai, Ein Atik, and Zenata New City.

Multi level passenger transport system

Six stations undertake different levels of railway passenger transport functions. The first five buildings mainly serve the future regional fast rail network of the Rabat Sar é - Kenitra metropolitan area, and the Zenata New City station is located in the Casablanca metropolitan area, connecting to the future urban railway. ONCF plans to construct a regional railway with a total length of about 54 kilometers connecting Kenitra and Sirat, with 12 stations along the entire line and a maximum departure interval of about 15 minutes. As the high-speed railway extends southward, ONCF will synchronously adjust the existing corridor functions, which is expected to form a multi-level collaborative system of high-speed railway, regional fast railway, and urban railway.
