On September 28, 2026, Abu Dhabi Khalifa Economic Zone Group announced that JD.com has signed an agreement to build an advanced logistics facility in KEZAD A area, with a planned storage area of approximately 150000 square meters. It is expected to be delivered and put into use in 2028, with a focus on serving customers in industries such as industrial manufacturing, cross-border trade, and e-commerce logistics. The counterparty KEZAD Group is a platform under AD Ports Group, operating 12 economic zones in Abu Dhabi, Ain, and other locations, serving over 2300 investors. This facility is considered to be in line with Abu Dhabi's industrial strategy and the objectives of UAE Operation 300Bn. Feng Guo, CEO of JD.com Middle East, stated that this is a crucial step in JD.com 'expansion strategy in the United Arab Emirates.

The third layout in 14 months

This is JD's third Gulf layout in the Middle East in about 14 months. Previously, JD.com and Abu Dhabi Airport Company established a joint venture to develop over 70000 square meters of bonded and non bonded warehouses in the Abu Dhabi Airport Free Zone Logistics Park; JD Logistics has also launched its own B2C delivery brand JoyExpress in Saudi Arabia. Earlier, in November 2025, JD.com signed a memorandum of understanding with MODON, the Saudi Industrial City Authority, to develop and operate a total of 2 million square meters of industrial logistics projects in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. The Oasis Park hub in Jeddah started construction on August 30, 2026 and is expected to be put into operation in September 2027.
