Deep in the Cardamom Mountains, a brand new road winds and stretches, turning the once blocked mountains and forests into a thoroughfare. Recently, Cambodia's Highway 10 was completed and opened to traffic. Guests from China and Cambodia, along with nearly 3000 people, participated in this people's livelihood agreement to witness the historic leap of the western road network.

The Cambodian Highway 10 project, constructed by China Road and Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd., recently held a completion and opening ceremony in Bodhisattva Province. Cambodian Prime Minister Hong Manet and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, Jiang Nan, attended the event and delivered speeches. Nearly 3000 local government officials, project construction personnel, and public representatives participated in the event.

All parties praise highway construction

Hong Manai expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for undertaking the construction of Highway 10 and affirmed China's long-term support for the development of various fields in Cambodia, especially in assisting the country in building a large amount of transportation infrastructure. He mentioned that Highway 10 not only facilitates daily travel for the public, but also opens up channels for the export of agricultural products from Battambang and Bodhisattva provinces, allowing goods to directly reach the ports of Goong and Sihanouk provinces. This national highway that crosses the Cardamom Mountains forest area can also explore natural landscape resources and attract tourists to visit.

Building a Community of Shared Future between China and Cambodia

Jiang Nan pointed out that the smooth opening of Highway 10 is a practical achievement of the all-weather China Cambodia community with a shared future in the field of infrastructure in the new era. The Chinese side looks forward to deepening cooperation with the Cambodian side, continuously implementing infrastructure projects that benefit the livelihoods of the Cambodian people, and helping to improve the quality of the local economy and people's lives. How many benefits does the highway bring

This highway passes through three provinces of Battambang, Bodhisattva and Koh Kong in western Cambodia, with a total length of about 198.518 kilometers. It is built according to the standards of third-class highway, including bridges, culverts, subgrade and pavement, waterproof and drainage works, etc. After the opening of the highway, the travel distance from Goong Province to Battambang Province has been reduced from over 560 kilometers to 280 kilometers. This route ensures the export of grain from the grain warehouse in Battambang Province, fills the gaps in the western road network, and drives the growth of tourism and industrial industries along the route.Editor/Gong Ziwei
