On October 8, 2026, the replacement project of K3175.A-25C sleepers for the Hong Kong East Rail Line, undertaken by China Railway First Group, was officially launched. Wang Kaihua, General Manager of the Asset Renewal Project of MTR Corporation Limited (MTR), and relevant personnel from China Railway First Group New Transport Company jointly attended the launch ceremony.

The East Rail Line has a total length of 45.8 kilometers, with 16 stations and 15 sections. It is a public transportation backbone that runs through the north and south of Hong Kong, connecting Shenzhen Luohu Station and Futian Station to the north and Hong Kong Admiralty Station to the south. It is also an important passage between mainland China and the core area of Hong Kong, and its operational safety and line quality have always been of great concern.

In this project, China Railway First Group Co., Ltd. undertook a total of 20500 rail sleeper replacement tasks, including 17800 mechanical sleepers and 2700 manual sleepers. In order to smoothly advance the construction, the project department has specially introduced a pillow changing machine and customized and optimized the design according to the technical specifications of MTR, so that all performance of the equipment meets the safety control requirements of the East Rail Line track construction.keywords:Engineering infrastructure
