On the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the roar of concrete tankers suddenly rang out in the hot and humid rainy season. After August 20, 2026, the first box girder weighing 760 tons gradually took shape on the Ho Chi Minh City No.1 beam yard. Starting from the start of the run on June 23rd, CCRICG only took less than two months to prepare this beam field for construction.

Where is the difficulty in making beams overseas
The Qinye High speed Railway is a high-speed urban railway from Binh Minh City to Qinye, and is also the first private capital invested high-speed rail transit project in Vietnam. It has a total length of 54 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The first section of CCRICG's participation is 8.288 kilometers long, and it undertakes the prefabrication, handling, and installation of box girders in a joint venture manner. There are a total of 230 standard box girders in the entire section, with a single girder length of 32.6 meters, a top width of 12.6 meters, a bottom width of 5.4 meters, a beam height of 3.015 meters, and a weight of 760 tons. Large size, high self weight, and extremely demanding process standards. Ho Chi Minh City experiences high temperatures and humidity throughout the year, with an average daytime temperature of 32.7 ℃ and a peak body temperature of over 43 ℃ during the dry season. Heavy rainfall, lightning gusts, flooding during high tides, and salt erosion from seawater occur in rotation. Steel is prone to rust, materials are prone to mold, and maintenance is extremely difficult, pushing precision control and on-site safety to the limit.

Build a beam yard in less than two months
Faced with these challenges, the team will enter the site on June 23, 2026, quickly finalize the prefabrication team, screen and transport steel reinforcement equipment, and simultaneously start building the beam yard. On August 20th, the beam yard successfully reached production conditions, and in less than two months from entering the site to being able to build beams, it ran at the speed of Vietnam. The first test box girder is poured continuously with C50 high-performance concrete in one go, with a single pouring volume of approximately 272 cubic meters. The team worked continuously and kept the pouring time within 6 hours. The cutting, layered vibration, and surface curing were strictly controlled step by step, and common problems such as cold joints, honeycomb and rough surfaces, and dimensional deviations were not exposed. The first beam has a regular appearance and stable structure, and has passed the high standard acceptance inspection. Ho Chi Minh City No.1 Beam Yard has officially achieved large-scale standardized production capacity. Keywords: CCRICG, first box girder

Years of family background support the first house
Behind the first beam is the professional accumulation of the railway company for many years. Since 2019, the company has successively undertaken beam yard projects such as Changjinghuang, Lanzhang, Huyurong, Liuwu, CZ, etc., with a total of 7 certifications obtained and 2898 prefabricated beam constructions completed. Based on the lean construction research of 40 meter large-span simply supported box girder on high-speed railway, the company has accumulated a complete technical system including BIM smart beam yard, 40 meter box girder special tooling, intelligent construction and quality control, large-span box girder static load test, and lifting frame safety control. Changjing Huangliang Field has achieved 7 international or domestic leading results, while Lanzhang Liangchang has repeatedly ranked first in the entire line. These assets have been transformed into the high-quality landing of the first overseas beam, and have also taken the first step towards the technology and service export model of sailing abroad in Vietnam.Editor/Min Jing
