On October 20, 2026, Ambassador Han Jing accompanied President Hicklema to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the joint capital fertilizer plant urea phase II project invested by Wanda Industrial Group and constructed by CNCEC, and visited the plant area. The project is designed to produce 520000 tons of urea and 400000 tons of ammonium nitrate annually, with a total investment of approximately 1.6 billion US dollars.

President Hicklema expressed gratitude for the important contributions made by Chinese enterprises to the economic and social development of Zambia. The Joint Capital Fertilizer Plant has become a representative of Zambia's modern chemical industry, promoting the transformation of resource advantages into development advantages. The Zan government will continuously optimize the business environment and attract more international investment.

Ambassador Han Jing stated that the joint capital fertilizer plant project is an important achievement for China and Zambia to work together towards industrialization and modernization.
