Deeply cultivate overseas operations and maintenance

The signing ceremony was held in Kuala Lumpur, where GMG and its Malaysian subsidiary officially signed a maintenance service contract with the East Coast Connection Railway Operation Company of Malaysia, with a service period of 5+5 years. The team will provide specialized operation and maintenance services, promote the cultivation of local skilled talents, ensure the continuous, stable and safe operation of the line, enhance the local rail transit operation and maintenance strength, and create a sustainable local operation and maintenance team. This is also an important breakthrough in GMG's overseas layout and continues to enrich the achievements of China Malaysia cooperation in jointly building the the Belt and Road. Assist in the development along the route

As the flagship project of the the Belt and Road jointly built by China and Malaysia, the East Coast Railway of Malaysia has a total length of about 665 kilometers. After it is opened to traffic, it will open up the land channel on the east and west coasts of Malaysia, drive the industrial development along the line, create jobs, and improve the local comprehensive transportation network. In July 2026, the East Coast Link Railway Operation Company of Malaysia issued an award letter to GMG for the maintenance project of infrastructure in Kuantan Port, excluding the section from Goh Ma.
