On November 3, 2026, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Myanmar's Minister of National Planning, Investment and Foreign Economic Affairs, Ang Kyaw ho, who came to China to attend the 11th Lancang Mekong Cooperation Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Beijing.

Wang Yi stated that China and Myanmar are brothers who share weal and woe, as well as a community of shared destiny that supports each other. Both sides agreed to accelerate the construction of a China Myanmar community with a shared future. Wang Yi stated that both sides should coordinate development and security, steadily promote key projects of the China Myanmar Economic Corridor, strengthen cooperation in energy and resources, increase efforts to crack down on online gambling and fraud, and prevent the resurgence of chaos in Myanmar. He hoped that Myanmar would take practical measures to safeguard the safety of Chinese personnel, institutions, and projects in Myanmar.

Ang Juehuo stated that Myanmar upholds the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, promotes the traditional friendship between Myanmar and China, and always adheres to the One China principle. President Min Ang le's recent successful visit to China has effectively promoted the development of bilateral relations. Myanmar thanks China for its post earthquake reconstruction assistance and is willing to work together with China to accelerate the implementation of the Myanmar China Economic Corridor project and continuously enhance the level of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
