Recently, it was learned from the China Urban Rail Transit Expert Forum held in Tianjin that the Xiong’an to Beijing Daxing International Airport Express Line (R1) will break the traditional subway operation mode and adopt multiple routes, 24-hour operation, and multiple operations. At the same time, it will be connected to the Daxing Airport Line of the Beijing Metro, so that there is no need to change trains when entering Beijing.
The R1 line is about 86 kilometers long, of which the elevated section is about 65.68 kilometers, and the rest is underground. There are 7 stations on the line, namely Xiong’an Airport Station, Financial Island Station, Donger Group Station, Xiongxian Station, Xiong’an Station, Bazhou Economic Development Zone Station, and Yongqing Station, which will be realized at Daxing Airport and Beijing Metro Docking.
The maximum operating speed of the elevated section of the whole line is 200 kilometers per hour, and the maximum operating speed of the underground section is 160 kilometers per hour. The 7+1 (7 passenger cars + 1 luggage cart) urban D-type vehicle is adopted.
According to the EIA, during the initial period of opening and in the near future (until 2033), the R1 line will operate from 4 am to 1 am the next day, and the operating time reaches 21 hours. This is currently the longest operating subway in mainland China. In the long term, the R1 line will fill the vacancy from 1 to 4 o'clock, realizing 24-hour operation.
It is understood that after the operation of the R1 line, it will be connected to the Beijing Metro Daxing Airport Line. By then, the Xiong’an New District can reach Daxing Airport in 20 minutes, Beijing in 30 minutes, and Beijing Financial Street and other central urban areas in about 1 hour. Editor/He Yuting
