The project starts from the Wuning direction north of the Ji'an South Hub Interchange in Jizhou District, Ji'an City (where the Daguang Expressway intersects with S69 Zhangji Expressway), and is finally under construction at the Shibatang Hub Interchange in Nankang District, Ganzhou City. The route passes through Jizhou District, Ji'an County, Taihe County, Wan'an County, Suichuan County and Nankang District of Ganzhou City in Ji'an City. The total length of the route is 144.708 kilometers. The entire line adopts two-way eight-lane expressway standard construction. The design speed is 100 kilometers per hour. The estimated project budget is about 16.69 billion yuan.

The G45 Daqing-Guangzhou Expressway is the “Vertical Fifth” line in the National Highway Network Planning (2013-2030). The G45 Daqing-Guangzhou Expressway’s Ji’an-Nankang section reconstruction and expansion project is the “Ten Longitudinal” plan of Jiangxi Province. The most important north-south channel of the "Ten Heng Twenty One" expressway network occupies an important position in the national and regional expressway networks. After the project is completed, it will greatly alleviate the traffic pressure on the middle section of Jiangxi on the Daguang Expressway, improve the capacity and service level of the national expressway, and help build a large regional transportation channel.
